A top hero, a leading director and a veteran producer. Two years of hard work. Crores of rupees in stake. All put together is Kanthaswamy, which is finally ready to hit the screens amidst all hype and expectations.
Directed by Susi Ganesan, the film with Vikram and Shriya in lead roles is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu. The movie has musical score by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography by Ekambaram.
Outlining the basic theme of the film, Susi Ganesan says, "It is about a Robinhood-type of man who goes about providing justice to the poor and needy. It is a movie with a purpose without any compromise in the entertainment factor."
Showering his admiration on Thanu, the filmmaker says, "He provided complete freedom. He gave whatever we asked with just one condition- quality should not be affected at any cost."
Besides playing the lead role, Vikram has sung all songs in the movie. Susi says, "After hearing him hum a song from one of his film, I was so impressed that I suggested to Devi Sri Prasad and Thanu, that Vikram should sing all the songs in Kanthaswamy. Both agreed and we recorded the songs. The output is so good."
On his part, Vikram says, "All credit should go to Susi Ganesan. He got out the best from everyone involved in the movie. It is an out-and-out Susi show with all of us giving our inputs to it".
Thanu, who completes his silver jubilee year in filmdom, says, "Kanthaswamy has come at an appropriate time. I am happy to have been associated with a talented director like Susi and a multi-faceted actor like Vikram. Everything is grandeur in the movie".
