Contrary to his protagonist in ‘Raman Thedia Seethai’ who took years to find a right pair, filmmaker Jagannath on Sunday raised many an eyebrow in the tinsel town by ‘suddenly’ entering wedlock.

According to sources close to him, he married Dhatchayani, his longtime lover, in the presence of his close friends. Dhatchayani is a Sri Lankan based Tamil girl, it is said.

After unsuccessfully testing waters in ‘Pudhiya Geethai’ and ‘Kodambakkam’, Jagannath won all accolades in 'Raman Thedia Seethai', the Cheran starrer. The filmmaker is now busy with a new project, titled 'Roja Malli Kanakambaram'.

The movie would feature new faces in lead roles, besides cameo performances from a couple of well-known actors, it is said.

Interestingly, Jagannath is also acting in 'guest roles'. In ‘Milaga’ starring Nataraj, he is playing an important character. "But that is for my friends. My full focus is on direction alone," he says.
