Vijay has completed shooting for his new movie 'Bigil' directed by Atlee and costarring Nayanthara which will hit the screens as a Diwali treat for fans in October end this year. After that, he will start shooting for his next 'Thalapathy 64' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj that is said to be a never before seen action thriller. Anirudh is scoring the music while production is taken care of by XB Film Creators.

The latest buzz is that Lokesh Kanagaraj has approached Vijay Sethupathi to play the powerful antagonist role in 'Thalapathy 64' and the intense actor has reportedly loved the script. It is said that the Makkal Selvan has promised to try and adjust his dates to accommodate the film and on the whole, his participation depends on whether he could allot the dates. VJS has already played Superstar Rajinikanth's foe in 'Petta' directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

Meanwhile Vijay Sethupathi is also locking horns with Thalapathy Vijay at the box office as his new film 'Sanga Thamizhan' also hits the screens on Diwali this year along with 'Bigil'.
