Dileep`s Ramaleela directed by debutant Arun Gopi is on floors. Antony Perumbavoor clapped the board for the first scene and it started rolling in Kochi. Tomichan Mulakupadam is producing the film after the mighty success of Pulimurugan` which is still running is packed houses and had crossed 125 crores in collection.

The film is touted as a political thriller and the character of Dileep is that of an M.L.A. This will be the second film of Dileep in the role of an M.L.A, earlier in the film Lion` which was a hit film in 2006 had Dileep playing the role of a politician who turns to become a minister after a by-election victory. Prayaga Martin is the heroine of the film and Tamil actress Radhika Sarathkumar is essaying an important role in the film. The script is by Sachy. As per the scriptwriter the story develops in a humor track but is of thriller nature.
