We had reported earlier that Vijayakanth`s elder son Vijaya Prabhakaran is the owner of the Chennai Smashers badminton team, which won 5-3 against the Mumbai Rockets team at the tournament held in Mumbai.

For the post match presentation ceremony Star Sports and the organizers of the tournament requested Vijayakanth to give away the trophies and Captain rocked Mumbai by appearing in traditional Veshti and shirt and received a thunderous applause from the fans.
