In a epic goof up on the stage of 89th Oscar Academy Awards presentation ceremony the announcer wrongly announced that Damien Chazelle's 'La La Land' is the winner of the prestigious award for the Best Picture of the year.
The entire cast and crew came up on the dais and started thanking everyone. Only then the announcer sensed the mistake he has committed and made the right announcement that 'Moonlight' is the actual winner of the Academy Award for the Best Picture.
Director Barry Jenkins's Drama flick 'Moonlight' is the official winner of the Oscar for the Best Picture. The film was an adaptation from the play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue by Tarell Alvin McCraney, and written by both.
'La La Land' has won Oscar under six categories that include Best Director, Best Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Original Song, Best Original Score and Best Production Design are the other six Academy awards fetched by the film.
