Finally the wait is over...!!! After keeping us in the waiting mode for long, the official launch and pooja of Thala Ajith's 57th film will happen in Chennai today.

The film will be directed by Siva who has delivered two super hits 'Veeram' and 'Vedalam' with Ajith. The yet to be titled film currently referred to as 'Thala 57' will be produced by the prestigious Sathya Jyothi Movies banner. The film is touted to be a action flick that will be reportedly shot in various locations across Europe.

Anushka is likely to play the lead lady opposite Ajith in this film. Anirudh Ravichander who delivered super hit songs for 'Vedalam' has been retained for the musical score. Kabilan Vairamuthu the younger son of veteran lyricist Vairamuthu has been involved in this project and we have to wait to know whether his role will be limited to lyrics for the songs or he has also taken part in script discussion.

Cinematographer Vetri and Editor Anthony Ruben are the other prominent crew members retained from 'Vedalam' for 'Thala 57'. Anu Vardhan will design the ultra modern costumes for Ajith in this film.

Ajith's manger Suresh Chandra has confirmed that the pooja of 'Thala 57' will take place today.

Ajith who underwent a surgery after the release of 'Vedalam' in November 2015 took rest as advised by doctors for several months and he is now back with a bang to what the business.
