Akhil Akkineni's debut movie as a lead actor has been launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad at 9.10 am today (17.12.14). V.V.Vinayak will direct this movie. Nithiin is turning producer with this movie. He will produce the film along with his father Sudhakar Reddy on Shreshth movies banner.

Amala Akkineni gave clap for the Muhurat shot, Naga Chaitanya switched on the camera and Nagarjuna directed it. The regular shooting of this film starts in the first week of January.

Nithiin said, "As today has a good Muhurat, we filmed the first shot. We will start the regular shooting in January first week grandly amid fans. We are searching for a new heroine opposite Akhil. We are very happy to be producing the first film of Akhil, directed by V.V.Vinayak, who gave me a turning point in my career with 'Dil'. This film will be a feast not only for the fans, but also for everyone".

Sudhakar Reddy said, "We are very happy that Nagarjuna gave us the chance to produce Akhil's first film. V.V.Vinayak has planned very well for this film. Akhil and Nithin tweeted about the movie opening and within one hour, it got over two lakhs clicks. The craze on the film could be understood with this. The film will be on par with those expectations. The selections for the cast and crew are being held at present and we will announce more details soon".
